ENOEDA KEINOSUKE (1935 - 2003)




ENOEDA KEINOSUKE
 
 

ENOEDA KEINOSUKE was born at july 4th, 1935 in Kyushu (Japan). With 7 years he started training Judo and received at the age of 17 the 2nd Dan.

In 1952 he began training Karate at the Takushoku-University. After two years he got the 1st Dan and four years later he became captain of the university-team. During his tournament-time he was known as "Tora" (tiger) und feared.

In 1957 he finished university and worked as instructor under leadership of NAKAYAMA. From Nakayama and NISHIYAMA Enoeda got his instructor-training. In the years from 1963-1967 he was working as instructor in Indonesia (1963), South-Africa (1965) and the US. There he was assistant of OKAZAKI TERUYUKI.

He took the place of KANAZAWA as chief-instructor of the JKA for Europe in 1971. He became president of the "Karate Union of GreatBritain" (European Shotokan Karate Association ESKA) in England. 

Master Enoeda died on March 30th 2003 of cancer.
